Beth Robinson

Island Group | Sotheby’s International Realty now has an agent living on Whidbey Island . . . Beth Robinson.

Sotheby's International Realty's dedication to excellence is world-renowned. Sotheby's Real Estate Services Division makes an unwavering commitment to its customers, who in return know that they will be working with the world's most knowledgeable real estate professionals.

Sotheby's agents have been active in the San Juan Islands for years. Discerning national and international buyers have long sought out the San Juan Islands for distinctive properties offering a mild climate, abundant wildlife and exquisite views. Whidbey Island, just to the south is increasingly becoming an equally important destination for discriminating homeowners. The New York Times has called Whidbey Island the "West Coast Nantucket."

Beth says: "To me, Whidbey Island offers much more than the San Juan’s as we are a fifteen minute ferry ride from the mainland…and just another 30 minutes to Seattle. We have a fabulous climate, a community rich with artists, writers, musicians, dancers, farmers and fisherman, bountiful wildlife, beautiful distinctive architecture…and all the outdoor activities one could want. It doesn’t get much better than Whidbey Island."

Beth Robinson is an outstanding example of Sotheby's philosophy of excellence. She has an intimate knowledge of her community, a powerful work ethic and extensive business skills. The best representation for sellers means getting top dollar for their home; for buyers, the best representation means find a luxurious property at the perfect price with a minimum of stress.

Beth has been a real estate agent since 1983, and a broker associate since 2000. From 1975 to 1986 she worked as a building contractor, working on cottage remodels to multi-million dollar estates. Beth sold and listed luxury properties throughout Santa Cruz and Monterey counties, including Carmel-By-The-Sea where she lived and worked for 16 years. Beth was an Associate Broker with Sotheby's International Realty-Monterey Peninsula before moving to Whidbey Island in 2006.

March Updates From Beth:

It is spring on Whidbey Island and the plums and cherries are in full bloom.  Mother Nature always gives us an early spring and then reminds us she is in charge with a week or so of frosty winter weather.  But we know spring is upon us: the daffodils are rampant along the roadsides and the gardens are greening.....blessed Spring.

There is still time to take advantage of the home buyers' Tax Credits. Buyers who have a contract in place to purchase a primary residence by April 30, 2010 and who finalize the transaction by June 30, 2010, might qualify for a tax credit of up to $8,000 for first-time buyers and up to $6,500 for repeat buyers.  Yes, even if you have owned a home but are buying a new one, you might be eligible for up to $6,500 in tax savings!

The inventory on Whidbey Island is good.  There are houses in all price ranges. If you are considering a move or want that getaway place, now is the time to buy while the island is still quiet and unrushed.

I have a few new listings which will post soon, so stay tuned.  One is an incredible historic home in the town of Coupeville...magnificently restored and the perfect spot for anyone who believes in historic preservation.  We need more of our past to stay with us..it reminds us who we are and where we came from.  Support your local Historic Preservation Movement.   Enjoy Spring; renew yourself by coming to Whidbey.

Best Regards,

Beth
