Current Market Conditions for June, 2010Summer has finally hit the Northwest. The sun has been shinning and we are experiencing warm days and cool nights which is perfect. Old Timers say that summer doesn’t start until after the Fourth of July and they were proven right this year….a dreary and overcast Fourth of July ….then the next day it was brilliant sunshine and two days later it was over 90 degrees. Thank goodness that didn’t last and now we are in the high 70’s during the day. Home sales are seeing an uptick since the weather has improved. There are more people out looking for homes and although there are still lots of properties coming on the market, we are seeing lower end ones quickly being bought up. A recent real estate magazine mentioned how San Francisco is one of the hottest markets in the country and what happens in California usually filters up to the Seattle area. It could be a fabulous late summer and fall…….wouldn’t that be wonderful??? Check out my new listings on “Properties”, then “Featured”. I have a lovely little Langley home for under $600,000…..beautiful views of water, mountains and farmlands, beautiful garden and great neighborhood. Already listed is a spectacular home on Marrowstone Island, a stunning view home outside Anacortes and a magnificent 1859 total renovation with gardens, views, waterfront and history right in downtown Coupeville. Just south of Coupeville, off Parker Road I have a new listing that is quite a find…..3 acres of seclusion with views of the Straits, …a 3000+ square foot home , traditional in styling but livable with a great room off the kitchen and a sunroom off the great room. Three bedroom and three baths, with a den downstairs that could be used as a bedroom. Large garage and plenty of space for lovely gardens….all for $499,000. Plus, there are many, many more homes available on Whidbey…something to meet your needs. |
